Message from the President…

Welcome to the official website of the Xi Alpha chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. We proudly serve the campus of The Georgia Institute of Technology.

My name is Tia Calhoun, and I am thrilled to have been elected president for the 2019-2020 year. As President, I will fulfill my duty and strive to make sure our chapter reflects the morals, ideals, and values of Delta Sigma Theta.

This past year, we have celebrated our delightful 41th anniversary of our chapter, and for 41 years and counting, we have been dedicated to Serving, Leading, and Empowering our campus and neighboring communities as well. In the words of our Soror Dorothy I. Height, “Without community service, we would not have a strong quality of life. It is important to the person who serves as well as the recipient. It is the way in which we ourselves grow and develop”. As Delta women, we have been charged with the task of upholding the standards of our sorority and our university, and to serve as role models of the black community. We do not take this task lightly.

We would like to thank you all who have been in support of our chapter, and we hope that you will continue to support us as we grow over the years. Please use this website to stay updated on our community service, social, and public events. We hope that you find our website useful and informative.

Tia Calhoun

President, Xi Alpha Chapter, 2019-2020
