Message from the President…
Greetings,
Welcome to the official website of the Xi Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology.
My name is Bethany Ponder, and I have the honor to serve as the 2023 - 2024 Chapter President. It is my privilege to represent my chapter, organization, and community while upholding the vision of our 22 illustrious founders.
In 1978, the Xi Alpha Chapter became the first black Greek-lettered sorority chartered on Georgia Tech’s campus and has since been at the forefront of scholarship and service in our community for 45 years. Our chapter takes pride in providing diverse programming through our Five Point Programmatic Thrust: Educational Development, Economic Development, Physical and Mental Health, Political Awareness and Involvement, and International Awareness and Involvement. We are a chapter composed of leaders, scholars, and humanitarians who have achieved many academic, athletic, artistic, and professional accomplishments. We are excited to build upon these accomplishments in the upcoming year.
